Ruben Bekx (1977) is a versatile musician
specialized in bass guitar and double bass,
having honed his skills at the Utrecht Conservatory.
His passion for diverse cultures and musical styles has taken him on a global journey, where he learned from musicians worldwide—studying instruments like Ud in Jordan, Gayageum in North Korea, and Sitar in Nepal.
Upon returning to the Netherlands, Ruben contributed his skills to over 30 artists' albums, not only with the bass guitar but also with lesser-known instruments.
His expertise extends to film soundtracks, where his creative arrangements infuse a distinctive, foreign flair. Beyond studio work, Ruben frequently performs in various settings, ranging from intimate living room concerts to large festivals and national TV recordings.
Open for collaborations, composing, arranging and soundscaping.
